Laborers

Written by on
A “Laborer” is an extremely comprehensive term, referring to any sort of union member or trades’ person working in any sort of profession or industry. Unfortunately, as a Laborer, it is extremely hard to discern where and when these hardworking people may have encountered asbestos. Generally, a Laborer may have worked in a variety of industries including foundries, construction sites, shipyards or factories.
Laborers were exposed to asbestos while working with any number of products during the normal course of their workday including building and construction products, insulation, gasket products, drywall, paint, roofing products and more. As a result, many laborers today are finding that they have been diagnosed with mesothelioma, a serious cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
