Steel Workers

Written by on
Steel workers were employed to work in extreme high heat environments. As a result both they and the equipment they worked with needed to be protected from the elements of extreme heat and fire. For many decades, asbestos was the answer to providing this level of protection but it was later found to be the cause of mesothelioma.
